The 2025 Irish presidential election must take place by Tuesday, 11 November 2025.

Our political system is structured in such a way that it may prevent people who are not part of the existing political establishment from getting nominated.

Why should someone need to be nominated if we live in democratic country. Should this position be open to any Irish Citizen to run for election?
