It is unbelievable what is going in our political system now, there is absolutely no financial accountability. It was just an oversight.

If a person in Ireland goes into a shop or buys online you are taxed 23% on nearly every purchase. If you are working, you are taxed, if you pay for any professional service, solicitor, accountant, auctioneer, in the country you are taxed. In actual fact from the time you get up in the morning until the time you go to be you are probably paying tax for something to the Irish government and then you see you money being spent like this.

Irish Politicians have claimed €567.000 for just one day sitting in the Dail for December 2024.

You hear this all the time "it was just an oversight"

The waste of money that has gone on in our Dail chambers in the past few years is off the scale, completely unacceptable.

The time for legal financial accountability has arrived for these politicians.

This is the rhetoric on the government website, it looks brilliant in theory.
