COULD THIS HAPPEN HERE IN IRELAND?
As chaos erupts on Europe’s doorstep, the question Ireland must ask is simple:
are we prepared?

Around 50,000–60,000 migrants crossed into Ceuta within about 24 hours. At least 57 confirmed deaths. More than 48,000 people had reportedly returned to Morocco voluntarily by Friday evening.
Imagine the terror of waking up to find your home invaded, your family terrorised, your belongings gone and your sense of safety shattered in a single day.
For ordinary people caught in the middle of a crisis, these are not political talking points. They are real fears. They are the fears of families who expect their government to protect their homes, their communities and their way of life.
The scenes from Ceuta and Melilla have sent shockwaves across Europe.
A sudden migration surge, overwhelmed authorities and tragic loss of life have exposed a question many political leaders have avoided for too long:
Are our governments truly prepared when pressure arrives at the border?

For years, many native people across Ireland have watched with growing frustration and have openly expressed fears that an event of this nature could happen here, as large numbers of migrants have been recklessly planted by the bus load, into communities across villages, towns, and cities throughout the country. Figures showing thousands entered our country with no identification.
Department of Justice data, reported by Gript, indicates that more than 26,000 people have arrived in Ireland using false passports or without any passport since 2018. These figures raise serious questions about the effectiveness of identity verification, border security, and the integrity of Ireland’s immigration system.

That figure only accounts for undocumented migration.
We saw thousands of Ukrainians arrive, alongside huge numbers of work visas being issued. Thousands of people also entered from the UK via Northern Ireland, as well as from countries around the world. People arrived from more than 200 countries, including through UN resettlement and relocation programmes.
This is deeply concerning, as we are now seeing the consequences of the situation unfolding around us. Many Irish people feel abandoned, while politicians, landlords, profiteers, and those who enable or support the current system have often responded by dismissing concerns and simply shouting “far right.”
However, the reality of the scenes in Ceuta has brought a stark warning: Ireland and the wider EU have now entered a very serious and potentially dangerous situation when it comes to uncontrolled mass immigration.
The events in Ceuta appeared to be highly coordinated and organised, raising questions about what may happen next and what challenges we in Ireland may face in the future. There is much speculation as to who actually orchestrated this but one thing is for certain the lives of the people lost, their families and the chaos caused were just collateral damage. This is the disrespect these people have when they decided on an agenda, loss of life and chaos doesn’t matter as long as it doesn’t really effect their families directly. Or who should they use or abuse next to make more profit.
Migration system had developed “haphazardly“
Minister Jim O’Callaghan told the Dáil on 18 March 2026 that Ireland’s migration system had developed “haphazardly” for many years with no formal strategy.

Does the Government actually know the full scale of what it has created, do they even care? Ruthless EU Open Border Policies and now we have the devastating results.
Through its choices, its lack of action, and its unwillingness to heed public concerns, it has brought Ireland and its native people to a profoundly dangerous and uncertain point in our history.
We need to organize ourselves and start effective action to protect our communities and our country.
The questions we face are: what should we do now?
What can we do now?
One thing is clear: doing nothing is no longer an option.
We have to protect our country.
